Burnout isn't due to a lack of motivation. It's caused by a shortage of capacity.

There are more interesting people and projects than hours in the day. The key question isn't whether you have interest. It's whether you have bandwidth.

Acting is tough... BUT teaching is like putting on 6 improv shows a day, where the audience talks and constantly interrupts you, and the audience has to pass a test at the end to ensure that they were paying attention.

Teachers are like great albums. Everyone can think of at least one that changed their life.

Educators must be prioritized for the vaccines. Doing so will go a long way in ensuring that we keep students, educators, and their loved ones safe. Every state needs to put in place a plan to provide vaccinations to educators quickly.

As an ICU doc, both as a civilian and as a USAF reservist, I remain grateful to receiving the vaccine upfront due to risk of exposure.
