GCPEA Secretariat research has found that explosive weapons (incl. landmines and unexploded remnants of war) were used in around 1/5 of all attacks on education in 2020-2021, with Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Myanmar, Palestine, Syria, and Yemen as the most affected countries.

We are dismayed by Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office decision to slash its bilateral aid to Afghanistan, and it's neighbour Pakistan, at a time of critical need. This could be devastating for Afghans who are supported by UK aid. Read BAAG's statement below:
