I'm done with politicians acting like being in work is some sort of magical cure for mental illness.

Being in work, not out of it, has been a major component in my breakdowns.

Staying in work rather than taking time off would have killed me.

They don't give a fuck about us.

If I’d been the one who got to turn Boris Johnson away from the polling station for having no ID, I would be dining out on that shit for the rest of my life.

On my death bed I would gather my family around for one final retelling, before slipping smugly into the afterlife.

I was so anxious yesterday that I’d accidentally tick the wrong box due to extreme tiredness that last night I had a literal nightmare that I voted Tory 😱 Woke up in a cold sweat of relief when I realised it wasn’t real 😅😅😅

PIP is not thousands of pounds.
PIP is not means-tested.
PIP does not disappear when you get a job.
PIP is an in-work benefit.

Can you imagine if the gov implied people living with cancer weren’t really ill, didn’t deserve PIP & should just work more to feel better? Depression is not a choice, it’s a life-threatening illness. It’s already incredibly hard to win PIP even with a serious longterm illness.

They didn’t “manage”

They suffered - even more than now.
They relied on others to keep them housed and fed.
They were locked away from society.

Many died… many still are.

Last two nights in China! Knackered from a 6 hour train journey back to Shanghai, and in the morning we’ve got a 14 hour flight to look forward to! 😂😭
