In the last Munster SFC final in Ennis the Eamon de Valera Pipe Band led Clare & Kerry teams around the field - 105 years on its the Tulla Pipe Band.

‘Packo was my hero growing up. I spent boyhood hours in the forge on the back of Abbey St, pulling the bellows & watching the horses being shod.’

The Kenmare man was a 3-year Kerry minor from 1938-40, playing full-back, centre-back & midfield.

75yrs ago in 1949 the Ennis Faughs player captained Clare to victory over Kerry in Munster SFC in Cusack Park.
