Honestly I think this goes for anyone whose account is associated with their real name. Or heck, even a pseud you’re recognized by elsewhere (like me). Keep a chair in your parking spot so nobody steals it.

They made Half Bad into a British TV show on Netflix and I’m mostly watching it just so I can watch something terrible happen to that sister of his, but her plot armor is too strong.

Pro tip: If you’re going to buy a company, know what it is in the business of doing first.

If nothing else Mastodon is introducing people into the whole Open Source tradition of trying to be enthusiastic about something really bad that doesn't work at all because you don't want to be rude to the maintainers and the thing you really want to use doesn't work anymore.
