Imagine our Indigenous sisters and brothers asking for something as simple as a representative group to speak to policy makers and the majority of the nation says ‘no’. What a pack of miserable bastards we are. #Referendum2023

As a nation we should be proud of our indigenous history & be doing everything we can to elevate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. If giving them a formal VOICE to speak on their own issues can help do that in some small way, why stand in the way of progress? #VoteYes

Australia's indigenous history extends many thousands of years and it's embarrassing we are at this point of even 'voting' to allow them to be a VOICE for their own issues. But here we are. Voting YES comes at NO COST to me or anyone else who isn't indigenous.

I will be voting YES in today's referendum to give a VOICE to the people who were on this land now called “Australia” long before any white people decided to claim it as their own. #VoteYes2023

So then when we look ourselves in the mirror tomorrow, we see a proud and compassionate nation reflected back.
