This should break anyone’s heart. Our most vulnerable, highest risk
Remote Aboriginal communities clearly endorsing the voice. We will be working on this more

1. Heavily indigenous booths in Qld have voted yes as follows: Palm Island 75%, Thursday Island 74%, Lockhart River…

The pro-Voice campaign should have adopted the motto “Say YES to INCLUSION” to help counteract the very damaging effects of the “no” campaign’s dishonest “Say NO to DIVISION” slogan. Simply going with “say yes” left some wondering “say yes to what?”

First Nations people issued a letter to all Australians, called ‘statement from the heart’. They asked to be recognised in the constitution. In a national vote the people of Australia overwhelmingly rejected them. For those who never bothered reading it before voting,…

Australia’s rejection of a VOICE to Parliament for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people is embarrassing & shameful. Kudos to the 40% of voters who voted in favor of a VOICE for the original inhabitants of this land.

Imagine our Indigenous sisters and brothers asking for something as simple as a representative group to speak to policy makers and the majority of the nation says ‘no’. What a pack of miserable bastards we are.

As a nation we should be proud of our indigenous history & be doing everything we can to elevate Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander people. If giving them a formal VOICE to speak on their own issues can help do that in some small way, why stand in the way of progress?

Australia's indigenous history extends many thousands of years and it's embarrassing we are at this point of even 'voting' to allow them to be a VOICE for their own issues. But here we are. Voting YES comes at NO COST to me or anyone else who isn't indigenous.

I will be voting YES in today's referendum to give a VOICE to the people who were on this land now called “Australia” long before any white people decided to claim it as their own.

Today I urge all Australians to Vote Yes.

So then when we look ourselves in the mirror tomorrow, we see a proud and compassionate nation reflected back.

Hate re-sharing this stuff but people have been talking about this for ages (and for hundreds of years before I was born).

When I was 15 I explained why I support the Voice, on Saturday I'm going to vote for it.

Join me in building a better future for this country. Vote Yes.

.Sam Kerr and the most selfless act of this tournament so far.

After winning the most historic match in her lifetime, she hands her match-worn shirt to an adoring fan 🇦🇺
