In observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Monday, Jan. 15, 2024, the LRTA buses will run on a Saturday Bus Schedule.

Spreading Holiday Cheer!
The LRTA Team, comprising management, union (ATU Local 1578) & LRTA employees, conducted a fund-raising drive to benefit Lowell PD's Annual Christmas Toy program for local kids. The Team transported a bus filled with over $2,000 worth of toys to LPD HQ.

Effective Monday, December 11, 2023

LRTA Route 20 Downtown / Kennedy Center will now service Lowell Community Health Center, Market Basket and the Kennedy Center.

The LRTA Holiday Bus Route to Pheasant Lane Mall service starts on Black Friday, November 24, 2023.

It will run 6 Saturdays, November 25, December 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30.

In observance of Columbus Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day, the LRTA will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday October 9, 2023.

In observance of Labor Day, the LRTA will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2023.

In observance of Independence Day, there will be no LRTA bus service on Tuesday July 4, 2023. Happy 4th of July from the LRTA!

In observance of Juneteenth, the LRTA will run on a Saturday schedule on Monday June 19, 2023.
