The government is spending billions to restart Michigan's Palisades reactor. Why?
'Wasting billions on a Palisades restart sidesteps a far better solution that would directly lead Michigan to a zero-carbon future energy transition'

Mark Z. Jacobson Congrats to California for being one of the first places in the world to figure out the real ROA on utility scale batteries. The learning curve here looks amazing:
20% of California's energy demand supplied by batteries from 7-10 PM tonight.
Plus (the boring and normal part now) 32 out of last 40 days, CA exceeds 100% #WindWaterSolar on its main grid, today for 3.83 hours, with a peak of 108.2%.
We have solutions.

'It's wild that this isn't getting more news coverage'
California has set a benchmark for renewable energy, with wind, solar & hydro providing 100% of the state's energy demand for a part of 25 out of last 32 days (& counting).
