Today, I became the first Jewish-American political appointee to resign from the Biden-Harris administration over its policies in Gaza. Here is my resignation letter:

Greenberg Call is the first Jewish appointee to resign from the Biden Administration in protest of the President’s “continued support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.” She is resigning on the 76th anniversary of the Nakba.

She writes:

BREAKING: Presidential appointee Lily Greenberg Call, who is Jewish, has resigned in protest of the Biden Administration’s refusal to help stop Israel’s assault on Gaza.

“What is the point of having power,' she says, 'if you will not use it to stop crimes against humanity?”

The Nakba never ended & we’re seeing it live in Gaza today, 76 years later.

None of us would survive the cruelty that the Palestinians in Gaza are being forced to endure.

His family survived the Holocaust.
He founded Human Rights Watch.
He directed the ACLU.

Now he’s saying Israel is engaged in genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.

76 years ago, thousands of Palestinians were killed in the Nakba. More than 750,000 were summarily expelled from their homes. Israelis committed dozens of massacres. Hundreds of towns were depopulated.

And City Hall flies Israeli colors today. London Breed this is depraved

I’m old enough to remember when London Breed condemned the city council’s vote calling for a ceasefire because :“Since the resolution’s passing, SF has been angrier, more divided, and less safe.”

But flying a foreign flag of country committing a genocide is totally okay

Gallaudet students join the encampment at George Washington University to show solidarity with Palestine.

San Francisco: an apparently stolen car barreled down Cabrillo, didn’t stop at any of the stop signs between Park Presidio & 8th Avenue, and crashed into an apartment building in my neighborhood, the Richmond District.

Thank goodness no one was killed. This is ridiculous.
