Transparency, accountability, involvement & public benefit are often touted as core principles for the use of health data: I enjoyed digging into what they mean in practice with Dr Nicola Byrne National Data Guardian for Health and Social Care
For families everywhere affected by rare conditions, we're proud to support research that could make a difference with our amazing NHS Genomic Medicine Service colleagues #RareDiseaseDay

Another excellent, engaging and much-needed piece of work from Understanding Patient Data, designed to help answer questions about why we need large-scale data for research. So pleased and proud of the team, esp for their the brilliant co-creation approach #healthdata #healthresearch

πWhere #genomic research, #datagovernance , ethical conundrums & participant voices all come together: we need a brilliant someone to help Genomics England navigate access to the data we hold - advancing science while doing right by our participants. Is this you? Get in touch!π
This is thought-provoking research that prompts us Genomics England and other science/research organisations to reflect on who we serve, or exclude, and how we should adapt to be more worthy of people's trust and confidence #dataethics
