I understand how hard it is to give up this place - here I am, unable to delete my account, after all - but ngl, it feels strange to log on and just see business as normal.

Fall is so great... what if the world became surreally beautiful for two weeks and then everything around you withered and died. You'd have to be a psycho not to love that

Ask A Fuck Up is not only the best advice column of all time, it frequently contains some of the most beautifully humanistic writing I've ever read. So happy it's coming back.

One of the predictions I made when Musk first bought Twitter is that after a while it'd become apparent he just didn't have the skills or approach required to make it work and he'd end up dumping it. I still say there's a chance that happens.

With a last name like Trichur, people assume I am an Iyer Brahmin Hindu. And my father certainly is, but I've never been accepted as such. That's because my mother is a Syrian Orthodox Christian who was born in India. My point is that Indo-Canadians cannot be placed in a box.

for transparency's sake: I have updated my piece to include this essential bit of history, which I unintentionally neglected when trying to boil down Khalistan's layered history. I own that. it doesn't change the situation, but it is important to note: twitter.com/navalang/statuโ€ฆ

Hope that media and politicians will take today's protests as what they are: a sign that anti-trans figures may be loud, but their followings are not representative of most of the population. Counterprotestors have far outnumbered protestors so far.

This is exactly right. The rhetoric and actions of the Indian govt against Canadian Sikhs has been frankly bizarre and counterproductive. The Khalistan Referendum posed no real threat to India, but they assassinated one of its organizers.
