This was fun. Shawn McCreesh says, in the world of magazines, the '80s belonged to Tina Brown's Vanity Fair, the '70s to Rolling Stone's gonzo era, and the '40s to Fortune. I'd add that the 2000s were all about David Granger's Esquire, except for 2008 (Conde Nast Portfolio lol).
