Picked up an Evening Standard on the Tube the other day and had a real tempus fugit moment. I can remember when it was a bulky, serious newspaper that you had to pay for, with numerous big-name columnists. Now it's a flimsy, lightweight freesheet.

Don't necessarily hate this idea - it would be good for Falklands security in the long-term - but it would be a pretty generous interpretation of the North Atlantic, given that Argentina's most northerly bit of Atlantic coastline is >2000 miles below the Equator.

I saw a guy at the beach here last summer, must have been 55 or so, and he was wearing a flying spaghetti monster T-shirt over a beer belly and I just thought 'come on man'. Have nearly four decades of adult life really taught you nothing at all?
