The futures of both Luis de la Fuente and Jorge Vilda must be questioned. Both are the public faces of Spanish football and both publicly supported the shameless Rubiales at Spanish football's lowest moment. Many within Spain believe the futures of both should be untenable now.

Which individual(s) wrote the fabricated Hermoso speech? Who drafted statements alleging that she lied? Who else was involved in the most transparently shameless cover-up? Those names are required now - and they must go too. This requires root and branch reform.

Obviously, Rubiales stepping down is non-negotiable and his failure to do so with grace will be his legacy. But the Spanish FA have acted despicably for a week, fabricating statements of Hermoso, calling her a liar and giving Rubiales full public support. This is institutional.
