Malaria remains a huge public health risk in Africa, with Nigeria bearing the highest burden, according to a new World Health Organization (WHO) report.

To mark #WorldMalariaDay yesterday, the Standing Committee on Public Health of the NiMSA organised a health outreach in some states in Nigeria.

Malaria is a mosquito-borne 🦟🦟 infectious disease caused by parasites of the Plasmodium genus. It is transmitted to humans through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. Malaria is prevalent in tropical and subtropical regions, particularly in sub-Saharan Africa,
