Today might be #NationaBubbleTeaDay but we teabags in all our food parcels with coffee offered as an alternative at our centres. We also give hot and cold drinks during the sessions. 40 packs are great as they squeeze into the parcel, but all tea & coffee is welcomed! 🍵☕

Did you know... More than 60% of our visitors only come once. Those who do need another visit are still welcomed & we ensure our partners Shelter Norfolk Citizens Advice British Red Cross 🧡 and moreare on hand to give timely advice & support so the next can be the last visit. #FoodbankFriday

Tinned fruit is often on our 'most needed' list 🍍🥭🍎🍐🍑 At least one tin goes into each of our food parcels, alongside other nutritionally balanced items - milk, pasta, veg, meat, fish, ceal etc - which make up roughly 9 meals plus drinks and snacks.

This is what happens when you find out its a long-term volunteer's birthday (they told you 5 minutes ago!) so you improvise... Happy Monday / birthday - whatever it is for you today 🤩

Did you know... Jam, peanut butter & other spreads are 'extra' to the essential items in each food parcel (cereal / milk / pasta, sauce / fruit / veg / meat etc) but as you can read here, make a BIG difference. #FoodbankFriday

Milk 🥛is regularly on our 'most needed list' and make sure its the long life kind if you do donate 🙃At least one litre goes into all the different sizes of our food parcel, alongside many other long life items - tinned meat / fruit / veg / fish, pasta sauce and more 📦

We provide food for people with varied needs - limited cooking facilities, dietary requirements & those who struggle to read. If English isn't the first language, we can put together appropriate items like those with clear pictures of the food on to make it a little easier.

Yesterday was #TellALieDay We hear many stories where people have come to us after days or even weeks of skipping meals, telling themselves or others in their family / household that 'things are ok'. Please: seek help, support and advice NOW. #FoodbankFriday

#FoodbankFriday Did you know... We're a Pathfinder foodbank within @trusselltrust looking at how together, we can end the need for foodbanks. This includes relationships with businesses, churches, individuals, referrers & schools & we spoke about partnerships at a recent event 📣

During the Easter Bank Holiday our Office and Warehouse will be CLOSED on Monday 29th March & Friday 1st April. We are grateful to our volunteers in our Chantry distribution centre for remaining open as usual on Saturday 30th March. #NorwichSupport #BankHoliday

A big thank you to Langley prep school for a big donation & the opportunity to take an assembly to share more about our work 🙋‍♀️🙋‍♂️ We loved hearing how the children help each other: 'If someone's sad, make them smile'; 'if someone forgets their lunch, I share mine' ❤️

Did you know... We started helping people with emergency utility grants (with a referral & support) in 2017, thanks to Norfolk Community Foundation We now work with Fuel Bank Foundation continuing in partnership with referrers ensuring support & advice goes alongside the grant. #FoodbankFriday
