Last night was the visitation for my BFF's son. She asked me to attend the private family viewing. I've been strong for her all along but watching her hug him in his casket while crying out did me in. Funeral is today. I'm tired, she's absolutely exhausted.

It's been a tough few days helping my friend with the loss of her son. She put me in the obituary as a 'special aunt'. ❤ Yesterday, they found her sister dead from an overdose.

I'm back from visiting my friend who lost her son unexpectedly. Thank u to everyone who helped me with words of kindness. It went better than expected.

Looking for advice. My BFF's son (37) died suddenly yesterday. I'm bringing in dinner tonight for her and husband. I am not good with condolences. I am very sympathetic but the comforting words don't come.

I did something different today. I took my veteran (starting Alzheimers) to a church food drive. After, he wanted to go see his son...at the cemetery. He doesn't remember why he died but thought his son was 23 when he passed. Vietnam vet crying in my car.
