Hi, .

Developmental edits are S L O W L Y happening for my memoir about the 60s but that’s okay. I think this is the publication I’m most excited for; it’s all about my travels with my best friend Rick (RIP) in the 60s.

What are you currently working on?

Hi, and .

I’m not scared of snakes. Want proof? Check out this picture.

It was pretty cool to wear a snake around my neck in Morocco.

Hi, .

What musical artist can you not get enough of?

Right now one of my favorites is Samantha Fish. Her album Belle of the West is beautiful.

The number one rule of the road is that the longer you wait for a ride, the longer the distance it will take you. We’re on the last pass in the Sierra Nevadas.

When it comes to being an author, it can be a lot of money spent upfront but I highly suggest you make sure to hire an impeccable editor. It matters to the quality of the book.

Agree or disagree? Are editors important to your writing process?

From hitchhiking 🚶‍♂️ in the 60s to using my childhood dog 🐶 as inspiration to seeing many men drink 🥃 and abuse their relationships to the pandemic 😷 of 2020, the inspiration in these stories is vast.

Hi, .
Here I am looking mean as I do leg stretches. Billy in the background.

Movement is important for ideas and health but I don’t always look good doing it. 😂🤣

What’s your favorite way to get moving?

Reminder:
Don’t be scared to fail. Write even when it’s bad. You can fix it later OR gain experience. It’s a win win either way.

Flannery O’Connor once said: “Nothing needs to happen to a writer’s life after they are 20. By then they’ve experienced more than enough to last their creative life.”

What are your thoughts on this?

Age does create more experience but you can be a great author at any age.

Hi, .

One of the most interesting things about being a writer is actually exploring the mind…like why does one thought connect to another seemingly random one that are 20 years apart?

Have you ever felt like writing is a way to process life?

Hi, .

I love this quote by Ernest Hemingway: 'As a writer, you should not judge, you should understand.'

Seeking to understand others and the world around us is part of why we write, don't you think?

Hi, .

Have you ever written a memoir?

Either way, if you wrote a memoir, what time period in your life would you focus on?

I've written a memoir and it focuses on the 60s and my friendship and travels with my best friend Rick.
