While most voters across the aisle backed the $300M affordable housing bond, it needed 2/3 to win—not just a simple majority.

The voting bloc that pushed it over the 66.7% threshold voted against Props E & F. If it had just been Yes on E & F voters, the measure would've failed.

Bernie was a Socialist who supported rent control, land trusts,& affordable housing when he was Mayor. I know because I lived there. Anyone speculating that he was snowed into endorsing Dean Preston (deanpreston.bsky.social) & is not actually aligned with him politically does not know Bernie Sanders.

We need leaders like Dean Preston in every state, at all levels of government - leaders who not only stand up to special interests, but also have the courage to address striking levels of inequality at their core.

That's why I'm endorsing Dean for the SF Board of Supervisors.
