And this year: CaféTO patios actually open in May, too! 🍻

We made it easier and faster to get approved, introduced a streamlined renewal process for returning businesses, and set a goal to get the patios installed and opened faster.

This weekend I joined the launch of the Little Jamaica Community Land Trust. This evening I had a chance to join the Kensington Market Community Land Trust (Kensington Market Community Land Trust).

They're doing important work to build community power in what is one of our most beloved neighbourhoods.

For the first time, WCT-FCT chose to hold its annual awards gala in Toronto.

As Mayor, I am proud to officially proclaim today, April 28, as Khalsa Day in the City of Toronto.

Thank you to the Ontario Sikhs and Gurdwaras Council and the Sikh community for today’s parade. It’s wonderful that we can gather to commemorate Vaiskahi and celebrate together.

It was great to stop by and meet delegates at this week's OPSEU convention. As an Ontario citizen, thank you all for your service to our province!

Libraries are a gateway to the city and to the world.

I used to study at the Reference Library in a sweater and jeans, fun to return in a new outfit for @ TPL_Foundation's BiblioBash last night to celebrate and support the vital role libraries play in our city's life.

This morning, I had the opportunity to open the 20th Annual Summer Institute on Early Childhood Development.

I can think of no better way to start the day than joining with so many committed early childhood education workers and experts. Thank you so much for having me.

Today, we gathered to mark the National Day of Mourning for workers killed or injured.

A day on the job shouldn’t be your last. When you clock out it shouldn’t mark the start of a serious illness or injury.

While today we mourn, the work for change continues.

It takes crews up to three weeks with overnight and daytime temperatures above zero to get hundreds of washrooms and drinking fountains operational again. But we're working hard to get them open and Toronto back on track.

Open for the season!

80% of park washrooms are open—earlier than expected. The remaining will be opened over the next week.

We are ahead of schedule this year thanks to the tremendous efforts of City staff.

This evening, we hosted members from the Jewish community at City Hall to mark Passover and celebrate our shared goals of keeping Toronto a global beacon for hope. Thank you all for coming.

Well, in this case, the mess we’re talking about is literal. It’s the mess many see on our streets.
