I don't understand this adult saftey-based over-reaction to the eclipse. We trust students not to look directly at the sun during recess everyday. It makes sense to have recess indoors (temptation to look is high) but why can't they view it 1 class at a time & use eye protection?

I know there are some Winnipeggers rejoicing at the warm temperatures, but this sucks. There are only a few months of the year we can skate, ski, and walk on the rivers. It’s what makes this place special. 😥

It's looking slippery for sidewalks today. Please stay safe. I'm asking public works this morning for better sidewalk cleaning. Do you or anyone you know get hurt as a result of dangerous sidewalk conditions?

My daughter’s school in the Winnipeg School Division does not even have a teacher librarian. The library is languishing and as far as I know, no new books have been ordered in years. I’d love to see the Manitoba's NDP make school libraries a priority
