5 escape hatches for when you need a break from cancer:

1. Watch live music on youtube
2. Gummy + a movie (I still love @ theaters)
3. Massage
4. Read fiction (get lost in some tasty prose)
5. Create- write, paint, play an instrument… Whatever helps you access a flow state!

Moving too fast and overextending myself just doesn't agree with me. Good reminder this week.

Finding I'm at my best, and happiest, when I'm in tune with what really matters and not trying to keep up with the rest of the world.

Weekend couldn't come at a better time 🙏❤️💪

I've had hardcore chemo, I've had 7 surgeries and I've explored natural and alternative healing.

Here's what I can say as far as there being a 'right way' for me to heal cancer.

All it takes is one spark.

When I finally came across a thriver who overcame stage 4 bone cancer, it confirmed healing was possible.

It took years for me to find someone, but that day changed everything for me.

Protect your belief 🙏❤️💪

How do you feel about journaling on your cancer experience?

It can be tough to go there.

But I've found writing huge for helping me process everything; helping me work through trauma, and I tend to make my best decisions via stream of conscious journaling.

Have you ever felt like your doctor was out of line by something they said or did?

Did you engage? Or how did you choose to handle yourself?

My take on figuring out life after cancer

Keep making adjustments. Keep experimenting. Keep failing forward. It may all be a blur for a while — at times, a painful, disappointing, awkward blur.

But then one day, you’ll be reflecting back and won’t believe your progress 🙏❤️💪

“I’ve been afraid that if I fill out anything wrong, I’ll get denied or punished in some way — emotions that aren’t quite rational but feel valid to me, none-the-less.”

One healing action after another. Keep stacking. Focus on the process…

This is how I’ve found success in turning my health around with stage 4 bone cancer.

It wasn’t any one thing, it was total commitment to nonstop actions that all boosted the odds.

Holiday time after cancer can be heavy.

I really struggled for a while, thinking about what I’d do and who I would be after overcoming a less than 10% survival rate.

Not having a clear vision scared the hell out of me, but the path unfolds as you go…

Trust the process 🙏❤️💪

Cancer burnout is real, and I went through a stretch recently where it all caught up with me.

Looking back, here's how I got myself back to baseline.

My brother-in-law had his bachelor party while I was in the thick of treatment... I decided to go anyway and wrote about how I approached it.

One thing that's really helped me turn my health around was focusing on the process over any one scan result.

I'm so blessed to have overcome the statistics after being given a less than 10% survival rate... But there were definitely some make or break moments along the way.
