Yip. I grew up in France- school lunches were one of the things that made me love food. We had a proper chef cook a healthy 3-course meal from scratch every day. Kids and teaches all ate together along communal tables. Bog standard state school in provincial town, not private.

Very sad to see no mention of peat and lowland peat soils in the horticulture strategy and talk of more hortic export being a goal when we are so deficient (55% veg 17% fruit) - does and export push make sense???? gov.uk/government/pub…
