Day 9 - well, morning 9 - on Madeira ❤️🇵🇹
A last utterly bloody lovely breakfast before the flight home. I'm going to miss this very much indeed.

I feel for anyone who doesn't have two weeks of annual leave. That's only 10 days. Some jobs here in the UK only get 20 days and that's bad enough.

An afternoon at Ponta do Sol, which I thought we could walk to as it's right by the hotel but there's a non-pedestrian tunnel so we had to get a taxi for the 4-minute journey 🤦🏻‍♀️car-centric madness.
Glad we got there though as it's lovely 🌞

Day 6 on Madeira ❤️🇵🇹
Ponta do Pargo views (despite incredible fog!) and enjoying the excellent Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Madeira.

More terrifying driving (well, navigation for me), left our lovely hotel and moved on to the next one in a totally new location, successfully didn't die, stopped off at Ribeira Brava and bought a table cloth for my mum 🤣

One of my favourite day trips today: Porto da Cruz. Eating fresh limpets, watching the waves crashing, regretting getting a hire car, and seeing the most amusing sculpture on the island 🤣

Just finished another lovely stay at my favourite hotel in Funchal, Madeira 🇵🇹❤️. I've been coming here for just over 10 years now! My first visit was in January 2014. It's a beautiful location just east of the city, with this unbeatable view.

Absolutely chucking it down all day, after leading me on with a bright morning. Met up with some friends to shelter and drink poncha after getting some updated shots of the market for the blog (currently I have a 2014 photo of the market on there!)
