Enjoyed the interactive session with a packed hall at Admn Staff College of India (ASCI) this morning.

Enlightening visit to the Temakaw garment manufacturer in Dhaka and learn how they, and others like them, with World Bank assistance during the Covid pandemic, started manufacturing PPE and, subsequently, diversified into other safety wear for industrial and medical use.
Very productive meeting with the Finance Minister of Bangladesh, the Hon’ble Abul Hassan Mahmood Ali. We discussed how the World Bank could ramp up its assistance, financial and non-financial, in support of the country’s developmental priorities.
Enlightening visit to the National Organic Centre near Thimphu to see and learn how smart horticulture, including through hydrophonic systems, is being researched. This lab to land approach is being partly supported under the World Bank ‘s FSAPP project.
Very useful meeting in Thimphu with Bhutan Finance Minister Lekey Dorji and Finance Secretary Leki Wangmo. We discussed the ongoing World Bank support to Bhutan’s development priorities and how this could be further scaled up.
