#Greece this week completed the full divestment of its stake in Piraeus Bank for 1.35bln. It had injected 6.85bln directly to Piraeus and 7.47bln to ATEBank to close the funding gap before Piraeus Bank absorbed it. This is a 13bln loss for the Greek taxpayer, or 1,237e per Greek

This is a fraud on an enormous scale. Reduce and reuse should be the norm. Plastic is everywhere and it’s recycling a massive deception.

This article by Cihan Tugal is by far the best and most thoughtful review of the field of populism studies in recent years. Very sad it has mostly passed unnoticed.
