What I like most about Lahiri is that she doesn’t over promote herself or her books. That’s one key reason one seeks her out in the crowd. Needless to say, this book and so many others like Roman Stories was absolutely brilliant. I can read and re-read them many times

Truly ! Imagine! Now if a Malayali tourist was in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh or Gujarat and asked questions about road signs in Malayalam, they would instantly get responses in Malayalam. Wonder why this Bengali traveller has never had any issue in Kerala
