Sunrise on the Shire on a very cold morning. The birds are singing with gusto. Back to snuggly bed with the Tay for a while for guilt free reading. 📚

So lovely to see the new moon in a clear blue sky and the sun dipping gently behind the western hills. Hopefully we’ll get some stargazing done tonight.

Haven’t seen beloved sis-in-law in 3 weeks so we had a catch-up over dinner & decided we had to have a glass or two 🥂🥂 to celebrate our arrival in the Shire. We’re now in our 🛌s💤 in our little Hobbit Houses, a tad tipsy yawning our heads off wondering where’s our youth gone.

Just dropped a darling niece to the Dart and was reminded of how lucky I am not to have to commute to get to work, especially on a ganky day like today. #LuckyMe

I believe it’s pelting down rain in Wickla. Our lovely Shire will be soaked. Not a day for unpacking 🚘 had we gone. But one must make the most of things & it’s a warm -sunny in spots -day in my sheltered nook at home, so I’m reading & getting a tan of sorts and eating chocs! 😎

Even after writing many 📚waiting for edit notes always causes apprehension. Working with a new editor adds to the pressure. The RELIEF of finding that we work really well together & her notes were great. All done now & the plan was to go to Wickla for a week. #FeckStormKathleen

Mr Sly Squirrel is feasting on the little birdies din dins. He thinks I can’t see him. The poor beleaguered Ceanothus that came down in the last storm is being propped up by a pallet. The Expert said we should let her have one last glorious bloom. How bittersweet. Gales coming.😮

Lovely lady physio introduced me to new physio exercises for my new “upside down” shoulder for Stage 2 recovery. Won’t be swimming for a while😢
She was so encouraging & told me not to push myself too hard…a first😀
Most other physios I’ve been to (mostly men) NEVER said that.👏

Taking a break from my edits and the sling - so freeing - to have afternoon Tay with Mr Robin. Wonder might I get a tan! There’s heat in the sun. 😄
