Cinco de Mayo weekend will feel more like New Year's! Rain likely for the first half of Saturday, with gusty winds continuing even after the rain moves out. The wind will make Saturday's cold temperatures feel even colder...

Ready for rain?! Here's a look at what radar may look like as we have a cold front move through Saturday morning. Scattered showers will linger behind the cold front into Saturday night.
But don't worry, plenty of sunshine and warm temps next week!

Probably some fog to start the day for 'Hanzi' in El Granada, but the sun should break through if he wants to visit his favorite beach (or beach view) later in the day. While it will be cool along the coast, we've got one more day of inland warmth in store for us on Friday...

How about a Winter Weather Advisory in the Sierra for the first weekend of May? Several inches of snow and gusty winds will make for difficult travel conditions Saturday and Saturday night...but I'm sure the ski resorts are thrilled about the mid-spring fresh powder!

We'll have rain Friday night-Saturday, please be aware afterward it'll get colder in the Bay Area / north Central Coast Saturday night-Sunday morning. If your weekend plans include overnight camping, hiking etc. expect 30s as low as 2500 feet, colder at higher elevations.

Good forecast model agreement, expect an active late season low pressure system to bring rain Friday night-Saturday, some increases seen in forecast precipitation totals. Most of our forecast area likely to receive over half if not near May normal rainfall from this system.

It's only 4 months' worth of data, but crime is finally falling again in , except for robberies, which are up. Huge drop in burglaries. Overall crime is down 33% this year. The table comes from the San Francisco Chronicle:

Still tracking a pretty good chance of rain showers on Saturday, with a few lingering showers possible on Sunday. Not a washout, but have an indoor alternative in mind for any outside plans!

BART is recovering from an earlier problem. There is a 10-minute delay on the San Francisco Line in the East Bay directions due to an earlier equipment problem on the track between Balboa Park and Daly City.

Stocks close at session lows as the market sells off ahead of a Fed decision on Wed, and while a continuing pause on rates is expected, there are concerns the Fed could take a more hawkish stance. -570 -325. KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM

I just finished hosting this terrific KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM panel discussion on the State of San Francisco. I have to say, strolling from Nob Hill to Market St. on a gorgeous sunny day, the City seems alive & lovely. Not teeming with workers like 2019, but not a doom loop ghost town either.
