I have never seen this on before. Sweet Chestnut (I think) in Great Wood, Fellbrigg, . The bark has some magnificent fluting and lattice work.

Nice gentle walk. Country church, woodland, fields, max elevation 95m, tea and cake, secondhand books. Norfolk holiday. What's not to like.

When I was a lot younger I used to go on holiday with a suitcase full of new clothes, aftershave, shower gel etc.
Now I chuck a few tatty old clothes into a holdall and a large (and growing) collection of meds. Happy days.

Anyone, old enough to have been asked,
'something for the weekend, sir?

This image is almost identical to my first barber I went to as a working lad.
Red Lion yard, Rotherham.

I haven't heard anyone ask;
why did Fujitsu need remote access, need to change important details, need to do it in secret, need to keep that knowledge secret.

Does anyone know.

I would like to nominate the Peak District National Park for all the help they give to the grouse shooting industry.

today Sheffield & Rotherham Wildlife Trust are beginning renovations. Nice to see walls rising, and Garlic Mustard in bloom on the roadside verges. I found a tiny world of moss and lichen in a wall, and new growth in my sentinel tree. 3 Lapwings entertained us with acrobatics. The Outdoor City

Being working class, I always choose to go to the polls on my horse.

🫣 I’m posting this while hiding behind my hands, but my 2025 calendar is now out! Buying one early means you’ll save money (only £7.95 + P&P), you’re guaranteed to get one (last year I sold out quickly), and also you can feel smug all year.
