As a longtime friend of Mexic-Arte Museum, it was my pleasure to drop into their Cinco de Mayo Luncheon yesterday.

Mexic-Arte is one of those places that’s foundational to Austin. We’re so lucky for the decades worth of education and cultural celebration it has given Austin.

Mayor Watson declared today, April 25 as Mexican-American Heritage Corridor and District Day at Mexic-Arte’s Cinco de Mayo Luncheon. We were thrilled to be named as one of the movers and shakers making the corridor happen on the proclamation.

Mexic-Arte Museum recognized a handful of Mexican-American Legacy Families in Austin:

· Limon Family
· Zamarripa Family
· Saldaña Family
· Quintanilla Family
· Pacheco Family
