Germany is resuming critical funding to UNRWA following the independent report which found no evidence for the claims by Netanyahu’s govt.
Germany.
It’s past time for the U.S. to correct this misstep that has exacerbated forced famine in Gaza.

What's happening with these college protests is not a 'distraction' from what's happening in Gaza. The reason it's so charged is that the same oligarchy revolting against the students is financing the politics to lock in the foreign policy.

NYTimes Editorial Board on Martin Luther King's opposition to the Vietnam War: 'The moral issues in Vietnam are less clear-cut than he suggests; the political strategy of uniting the peace movement and the civil rights movement could very well be disastrous for both causes.'

Yes, we are very aware that one of the purposes of student loans is strangling young people's exercise of free speech and challenging injustice. That's precisely why it should be permanently eliminated.

The president of the university asked for a 'reset'--looks like she got what she wanted: wall-to-wall rejection of her administration among all of the university's stakeholders.

Democratic Senator compares hundreds of anti-war, interfaith students — including Jews & Muslims — to neo-Nazis:

There are many aspects of discursive manipulation operating in this statement: generalization, hyperbole, exploitation of trauma, vagueness/imprecision, distortion of short-term and episodic memory--all grounded in power/knowledge imbalance with audience.

When I speak on campus, I ask what % of the pro-Palestine protesters are Jewish. Usually, Jews are overrepresented. Sometimes they're the largest identity group. Maybe folks calling for cracking down on protesters in the name of Jewish safety should consider their safety too

It’s insane to see the most powerful institutions in this country flat out pretend anyone who simply asks them to please stop slaughtering Palestinian people, is threatening Jewish people. Those Columbia students were protesting peacefully on the lawn—no threats, no terrorism.

This is genocide apologia from Adams to Biden, smearing a movement with substantial Jewish participation and leadership as “antisemitic.” It will do nothing but alienate the Democratic Party from its own base. This is pure disinformation and it’s shameful and absurd.

Mind you, he’s under investigation by the FBI right now for his crimes and he’s facing a lawsuit for sexual abuse of his former colleague—but sure, why not sic the NYPD on college students peacefully protesting genocide on the lawn of their own campus.

There hasn't been a single Congressional hearing on how Gordon Gee wrecked West Virginia University, the flagship public institution of a US state. Sit with the gross, classist condescension of this as we watch political elites obsess about whose feelings got hurt at the Ivies.

Most of the people posting about Columbia have not stepped foot on campus and have no idea what is going on.

As I said, the demonstrations I saw last week were comprised of students of all faiths, and backgrounds. Columbia escalated this situation by calling in armed police.

Just to be clear, boycotts, calls for divestment, and demands to protect students and their freedoms are not self-referential—what we want is a permanent end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine. We cannot lose sight of this. If we let our students guide us, we won’t!

The White House scrambled to condemn hundreds of interfaith American young people protesting violence.
But over the course of 6 months, it has yet to issue as direct of a statement on Israel attacking every university in Gaza & killing thousands of teachers and students.
