This was exactly the same sort of deliberately ineffectual strike that Iran used to respond the *last* time Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, working in clandestine collusion with one another, assassinated Iranian leaders in violation of international law in January of 2020.

None of this makes Iran the good guys. What it does mean is Iran has consistently signaled that it *doesn’t want a regional war*, and it’s *Netanyahu* who is repeatedly taking actions that needlessly risk a regional war. Why? Because like Trump, he’s trying to stay out of prison.

Yet I turn on my TV and see corrupt psychopaths like Bolton on CNN jonesing for the bloody Middle East war they’ve been jonesing for for decades now—just like Netanyahu is.

And now Trump wants war as well, because he thinks it’s good politics for him (and he’s probably *right*).
