It cannot be stressed enough that academia is primarily a bourgeois institution, and even if liberatory texts are published within its walls, oppressive and, quite frankly, loser ideology is propagated relentlessly under the guise of nuance and “academic rigour”.

Life is gon life. And that’s that on that. So I’ve gotten better at rolling with the punches and celebrating the good times.

We’re seeing the results of the decades-long shift to a business of higher ed, rather than a culture of higher ed.

Businesses don’t care a free speech, academic freedom, or student & faculty support. They care about increased attendance demand, large endowments, & “the brand”.
