We'll discuss these proposals with Chris Stark and Scotland Champion Prof Keith Bell at next week's meeting, when they join us to give evidence on Climate Change Committee's 2023 Progress Report.

Earlier this year, we published our latest Scottish Progress Report. In this we were extremely critical of the lack of planning to hit *any* of the Scottish climate targets.

We also felt it was time to call-out the 2030 goal as beyond credible.

Red regions of the Great Barrier Reef experienced mass bleaching and mortality of corals at least once in 2016, 2017 & 2020 - leaving a blue “refuge” in the offshore south.

This shouldn't come as a surprise; we have been warning about increased flooding for the past 30 years. Flood water needs somewhere to go, and if it's not farmland, it needs to be held back in nature. We're destroying natural spaces at our peril.
