Course walked this afternoon with the Course Inspector and Clerk of the Course and the Course Inspector’s view is ‘ Soft with a good drying forecast’

Plan to walk the course again on Saturday and will provide an update

Sunday 7th April Currently soft with good to soft places. The bends have been moved since the last meeting and will be raced on fresh ground. Further updates to follow next week after the course inspection or if the conditions change.

Easter Monday passed inspection Going now soft, heavy in places

Although the course has been drying out the last couple of days, due to weather forcast this evening a precautionary inspection with CoC and BHA inspector will be held at Cothelstone 7am tomorrow morning. Currently going good to soft, soft.

Taunton Vale Hunts
After having good drying wind and plenty of sunshine yesterday the going is Good to Soft, Soft(mainly from bottom bend out of back straight to after the omitted open ditch. The Racing line is on fresh ground apart from going past O/D.

Results are in of the of the inspection,🤞 The course is raceable and the Open Ditch has been omitted. Hopefully not too much more rain between now and Monday.

Cattistock now run 7th April. No change in times and entries stand.

BHA inspection today and course walk. Going is given as heavy, soft in places. A further update to be given on Friday.

Weekend updates
Larkhill
The whole of the racing line is on now on fresh ground (not been raced on for 2 years), rest of the course has been rolled and gone back well.The going currently is Good Thu 21 Mar.
Cotley Good, Good to Soft, Soft in places. ( 3.30pm, Thurs 21 Mar).

Larkhill Point to Point Course
Updated Mon 18th March
The ground is currently good and the whole racing line is on fresh ground. The previous update was for the last racing line used which has gone back well after being rolled. The course has a good covering of grass.

🌧️ The point-to-point due to be held at Ston Easton on Sunday 17th March has been called off. The principal factor here is the restricted access/mobility of the emergency services in poor ground conditions.

We are considering options and we will update again shortly 🌧️

Going: As at 7th March PM. Clerk of the Course reports that the course is drying well under another sunny/windy day going now Soft, with some heavy patches. Drying days forecasted will update again on Friday

Going update for Quantock
Cothelstone passed inspection today, there is a good covering of grass and a lovely drying day going remains the same soft, heavy in places.

The course at Charlton Horethorne passed the inspection in the sunshine this afternoon. The going will be soft, heavy in places and there's a good forecast for tomorrow.
