Lovely day pottering round the local area for , visiting artists and makers in their homes, treating myself to some new art, and discovering 'Lapin', a fab little cafe tucked away in South Bank.
Posting to boost YorkOpenStudios, which is a genuinely lovely event.

In this bin-fire of a site, this inspired me enough to post. Ian Eagleton wrote a fab book, 'Glitter Boy', about a boy who dares to be different, but faces LGBTQ+-based bullying. He loves to sing & dance to Mariah Carey.
Mariah saw the book, loved it, and tweeted about it.

I look at X and wonder whether I would have joined it now (if I wasn't already a user). The answer is no. Combined with the fact I am going through difficult personal times, I suspect that in future, you will hear less from me. I'll still sometimes be here, but semi-detached.

Just finished the spectacularly good 'Dark Eden' trilogy by Chris Beckett. It tells the story of what happens in the years after two astronauts are marooned on a dark distant planet. It has so much insight into society & our own history - must-read sci-fi.
