When you listen to the rough cut of Metallica’s ‘The Struggle Within’, released on the expanded edition of The Black Album, you realise how much James’ vocal melody and Kirk’s magnificent solo really carry this song. Bare bones crunching chords underneath that.

Fantastic anniversary dinner with my lovely. Our 12 year anniversary is actually Sunday, but we snuck out together with Grandma looking after the kids.
