Visited the Bucharest University Emergency Hospital and was encouraged by progress in its modernization in the context of their plans to become a #RaysOfHope anchor center. @IAEAorg is committed to supporting this important initiative & improve cancer care in 🇷🇴.

With IAEA - International Atomic Energy Agency ⚛️ DG Rafael MarianoGrossi at #Cotroceni , after our meeting at the #NuclearEnergySummit , to discuss the vital role of IAEA in the safe&peaceful use of nuclear science. RO prioritises the development of its nuclear energy program by enhancing large-scale production&SMR tech.

Slovenia 🇸🇮 will call for #UNSC to convene on this matter w/ a briefing by the #IAEA asap.

Romania, with one of the world's top-performing NPPs and flawless safety record, is poised to expand nuclear and explore SMRs.
Post- #COP28 , the consensus is clear: accelerate nuclear. Reiterated to Energy Minister Sebastian Burduja that @IAEAorg is ready to support 🇷🇴 every step of the way.
