'Abu Ḥayyān said: only a small number of the well-known readings appears in Ibn Mujāhid's book and those that follow him'.

If you're having a bad day, please remember it could be worse, you could have translated ʾAbū Ḥayyān's quote 'وقال أبو حَيَّان: ليس في كتاب ابن مجاهد ومن تبعهُ من القراءاتِ المشهورةِ إِلَّا النزرُ اليسيرُ ' as follows... (from Ḥamid et al.'s Itqān translation)
