Jason Damm starts at lock for the first time in his MLR career. Matt Heaton and James Stokes return to the lineup, Jason Emery on the bench. Club debut for Ben Mitchell and a possible MLR debut for Derek Adams.

Great to see Ben Mitchell back in MLR. Timely arrival given the injury to Theo Vukasinovic. Derek Adams and Bruce Yun promoted to the senior roster, Yun dressed for the season opener but didn't get in the game.

Interesting selection, a few guys rested? Jay Tuivaiti gets a crack at No8, and James Vaifale makes his first Legion appearance. MLR debuts for Lole Veimau and Harris Rutherford off the bench. Rutherford is the young Scottish flyhalf who is US-eligible.

Houston not taking any risks with Maks van Dyk given his importance in the playoff picture. Would have liked to see Pono Davis given a chance to start at No3. Rob Cobb hasn't looked comfortable at tighthead. Sam Hill gets back-to-back starts for the first time in MLR.

Nice to see Cam Dolan back in action for the first time this season. Jarred Adams fills in at tighthead prop with Sean Paranihi suspended and Isaac Salmon still injured. Backline is short Jordan Jackson-Hope, JP du Plessis, and Ed Fidow.

New signings Dom Iacovino and Tomasi Alosio straight into the match day 23. That backline can definitely cause NOLA problems if the pack can win enough ball.

Sam Golla will miss his first game since being drafted. Jeronimo Gomez Vara returns just in time to captain Dallas against Miami... but he's playing lock. Vaughen Isaacs also out. Still no sign of Tomas Cubilla.

Interesting that Kevin Rouet prefers Claire Gallagher at 10 and Alex Tessier at 12. They play the opposite for their club teams, with Gallagher an inside center for Leicester and Tessier the starting flyhalf at Exeter.
