Whimbrel seem to be on time this year. They really like the meadows and pastures in Forest of Bowland National Landscape to refuel on their northbound journey.

Nice to see a pair of Pied Flycatchers investigating a natural nest this morning.

To avoid disturbance, I was 30m away in a vehicle, pics are heavily cropped.

One downside of Bob is that he/she has cleared out all the cellar spiders, so the nocturnal chunky black ones are making a comeback 🕷
