I was very impressed with my 1st graders when they counted & told me that there are 2+5+3+1 times 6 triangles here in this kolam when I shared it with them. Couple of them multiplied & told me that there are 66 triangles also. #counting #shapes #strategies #math #art #kolam

Kolam/ Rangoli, with its short lifespan, reminds us of the impermanence of our lives compared to the universe’s lifespan. Within that short time, it shows how to spread the joy to everyone around us. Sharing the colors joy from my home & my art studio at school- Happy Deepavali

My G2 artists enjoyed experimenting with colors & symmetry with fresh flowers designing a Pookkolam (flower rangoli) with friends collaboratively. Pookolams are done as indoor decorations during festivals. #deepavali celebrations at #saisrocks #sensory #sustainabledecoration

Tie & Dye techniques are one of the ancient methods use to add color to fabric. Inspired by the sari I am wearing, which adopted a Japanese shibori dyeing method, my g3 Ss attempted the tie & dye technique with some stunning results #deepavali celebrations at #saisrocks
