Last week the dream from my PhD to organise a workshop on Quantifying forest regrowth and recovery from deforestation and degradation (R2D2 for short 🤖) took place. It was an honour to collaborate with people from all career stages, in person and online. Thank you🌳🌲🌴

It was a pleasure to participate in #R2D2 workshop - listen to amazing talks, share my work on attribution of #degradation , and discuss how to advance on this topic which knowledge is yet uncertain in science but needed by jurisdictions worldwide. Thanks Viola for organizing!

'Exploitation is the use of results in further research and innovation activities other than those covered by the action concerned'

🎙️ Gherardo Chirici from #ForwardsEU partner Università di Firenze at Berlin's meeting:

'The first thing that we need to do is to map forest disturbances across Europe, understand and manage the collected data to create the forest disturbance map.'
