I wrote #AliasAnna to give kids a little-known look at the Holocaust in Ukraine, a country caught between Stalin and Hitler. Little did I know how timely the book would be: tragically, #Ukraine was attacked by Russia the same month the book came out. #MGBookChat

A/1 It's important for kids to see that humanity has much in common AND learn about diversity, which is vastly enriching and builds empathy.
