ruthie gilmore helps me with this. instead of extractive relationships to written things, how can we inhabit them, how can they prompt our imaginations, incite our thinking. and how can we in community with others think about things that are not easily apprehended?

sometimes writing is impenetrable. written obscurely on purpose. but most of the time, it’s just a register that the reader is not acquainted with. this is not a judgment about the reader. or the writer. it just is.

This question became a breeze to answer when I started centering my responses around intentionality.

I had a parent think it was okay 2 do her child’s research on my cousin. I blocked her after 3rd email. She even reached out 2 my cousin’s daughter. Explained why her behavior was wrong. Never got it. Actually seemed 2 be in a trance w/ research. Like her kid should’ve been. 😂
