In fairness, the civil liberties critiques of Section 702 and surveillance powers predate Trump and have long carried significant support among Democrats. Agree or disagree with the policy, but there's more to this than the MAGA case.

Afghan migrant on terrorist watch list was apprehended and released by Border Patrol; then arrested in February and released by an immigration judge who said he wasn't a security threat. He was picked up again Thursday by ICE.
