The passing of Her Majesty is an immeasurable loss. Remembering with gratitude her lifetime of devoted service to us all.

Across the NHS, social care & all our emergency services staff put themselves in harm’s way, working long hours in incredibly difficult conditions. No letting off steam after their shifts because the rules were clear, they were there to save lives & they applied to everyone

Marina recorded this video before interrupting Channel One's live broadcast. I translated it for you (thread):

“What is currently happening in Ukraine is a crime. Russia is a country-aggressor.” /1

Devon is bracing for the wave. We already have a high baseline of cases and severe pressure on staff, urgent & emergency care, community services & beds. Help us to help you and the people you love

London NHS pressure mounting rapidly. Hospitalised covid patients up 30% in week vs national 4%. At 1,534 yesterday (vs 8k in Jan'21 peak). Covid linked staff absences up 140% from 1,900 Sunday to 4,700 Thurs. Some trusts now having to postpone non essential activity 🧵..1/6

Lovely to join the wonderful team of staff & volunteers at Claremont Medical Practice today as they put boosters under the booster campaign. If you have the skills to vaccinate & are able to help us to save lives in Devon please get in touch devonccg.nhs.uk/health-service…

Informative thread for anyone wanting to understand reasons behind surging UK COVID infections. This should be guiding govt policy rather than just normalising a deeply worrying situation that is worsening already dire pressures across the NHS. The UK is clearly an outlier

If you look at infection *rates* and use ONS denominators (as statisticians recommend), Covid cases are lower among the vaccinated than the unvaccinated.

Hospitalisations and deaths are dramatically lower.

The news story here is how well vaccines work.

This is dangerously misleading. Infections are higher because of how many more people are double vaxxed than unvaccinated.

The fully vaccinated are three times less likely to be infected (see the React study).
