Ready to light up and just spotted a cheeky Great Tit landing on the box, having a good look around...guess I'm going to have to get up at dawn to avoid lepidopteral carnage...

Ooh, little traffic spike on my Bandcamp page today. No sales as such, but some listens. The peak is three times the height it was yesterday. To embarrassing to sharing the y-axis values though

Incidentally, I know full well that it's not hilarious, that remark was also a joke. Jokes are so much funnier when you have to explain them, aren't they? For the record, also a joke, as is this, and this............

I suspect that this hilarious joke of mine will be lost on some who don't know the word prawn for various species of shrimp, especially the edible ones

I've not done much photography of aquatic animals, but once I have a few snaps of shrimp under my belt, I'll set up a gallery and call it PrawnHub

The Adela reaumurella emerged in our local woodland last week and in the 35.6 nanoseconds when the sun shone, I managed to get a snap of one in flight

Saw Rooks harrying a Common Buzzard with some carrion while a Red Kite wheeled back and forth overhead. Of course, I'd brought a macro lens to do butterfly photos and simply not enough reach with that lens to get decent shots of the action

Lots of Adela reamurella in our local woodland and possibly a couple of Green Hairstreak fleetingly on the same dogwood Edward Pollard Will try and confirm their presence for your records if it's sunny tomorrow.

You know how with whooping cough and whooper swans it's a silent w? So, it's hooping and hooper? Well, what about whoop-de-do and whoopee?

The drilling next door is oscillating between a C2 and a C#2, which is like Barry White with a bad cold humming away constantly

Passed a sign on some gates that said 'Keep doors clear'. It's good advice, broadly speaking, but irrelevant to the gates on which the sign was secured
