Thanks to everyone who came to our Fisherfolk Memories Café with R&A World Golf Museum and St Andrews Heritage Museum & Garden yesterday - we look forward to holding more of these informal community coffee afternoons (or mornings!) in the future - #community #localhistory #reminiscence #localheritage
Don't forget to join us for our Memory Café in partnership with R&A World Golf Museum
and St Andrews Heritage Museum & Garden this afternoon at 2pm. All welcome and it's free!

These peacock worms by Edinburgh Trinity Sea Cadets are so colourful #ForthFriday #100Species . 'We're fascinated by peacock worms! We found that they are fan worms and live in the sand in tubes... Peacock worms have feathery tentacles, which they use for feeding'. #exhibition
We are very excited that Edinburgh Tradfest launches this Fri 3 May 🎉
This also signals the opening of FISHING, an exhibition by Stephanïe Vandëm which runs Scottish Storytelling Centre until 15 June as part of the TRACS Tradfest programme 🐟

Happy May Day! A new month means a new exhibition in our Merchant's Room but there is still time to catch Helen Butler of buff.ly/3TJ4lbA with her 'Eclectic Collection' display until it closes on Friday afternoon. Helen recently painted this to raise funds for Oban RNLI Lifeboat
Not all the #100Species in the #FirthofForth live in the sea. This #ForthFriday is the Red Knot. This wading bird sports a brilliant brick-red chest and belly in summer. They are vulnerable to rising sea levels and human disturbance. See this and other artworks at our exhibition.
We are really excited to be guest hosting the St Andrews Memories group here on 7th May with R&A World Golf Museum and St Andrews Heritage Museum & Garden focussing on the fishing history and communities of the 2 towns but sharing general memories of life on the coast in East Fife buff.ly/3w1cQqP
This #ForthFriday #100Species is the Dinoflagellate.
This embroidery by Kathleen Wilson shines a light on this microscopic phytoplankton. This single-cell organism is an important link in the marine food chain. Come and see our temporary exhibition by Edinburgh Shoreline #SeaLife
